We would like to bring to your attention an important update regarding the Immigration Health Surcharge (IHS). This may have implications for your immigration application. The UK government has recently announced changes to the IHS fees, which we believe it is crucial for you to be aware of.

Who will be impacted by this change?

The Health Charge is paid by migrants who apply to enter the UK to work, study or join family for six months or more. It is also paid by migrants applying to extend their temporary immigration permission in the UK. Visa Applications made on or after the commencement date of the Order will be required to pay the Health Charge at the increased rate.

Summary of Changes:

As of 16th January 2024, the Immigration Health Surcharge will be £1035.00 per year. This is an increase from the previous £624 per year. This surcharge is a mandatory payment that contributes to covering health care costs during your stay in the United Kingdom.  The previous total IHS payment made with application was £1560 for 2.5 years.  After 16 January 2024 the payment to be made will be £2587.50.
